"With us your Winter is Different" is an activity (the “Activity”) organized by the Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities in Dubai, the Islamic Affairs Sector in the Management of Maktoum Centers for the Holy Quran and its Sciences in the Warqa area. The 10-day Activity attracted approximately 1,300 male and female students since its launch in mid-December.

Jassim Muhammad Al-Khazraji, Head of the Department of Maktoum Centers for the Holy Quran and its Sciences, said that the Activity includes three initiatives: Initiative of “Muazzin Al- Freij” (that means Our Prayer Announcer), courses in memorizing the Holy Quran and associating activities) targeting our children aging (6 to 16 years) and the “Read and Meditate” Program for all ages (from 6 years and above). He pointed out that these initiatives found an echo and social interaction in the targeted society, thus enthralling parents and children. He further stated that the initiative’s concept serves the Islamic cultural goals in a contemporary manner; and revolves around consolidating the UAE identity and developing the religious motive of our children, in all the areas and neighborhoods of Dubai. It contributes to the religious awareness plan.

For his part, Yousef Salah, Head of the Department of Student and Teacher Affairs, said that in addition to the main goal of polishing up the students' talent, the Activity contained associating events and subevents including sports programs, interactive workshops, teaching Arabic calligraphy, lectures on the concept and importance of the Emirati heritage, together with intensive courses in Quranic sciences, and awareness lectures in cooperation with the Community Development Authority, first aid, and Al-Ameen Service.
