Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed directs the launch of the second season of "Muzzin Al-Freej" with a new model focused on the role of the family in enhancing national identity and directs the launch of the "Qur'an in Every Home" initiative

In conjunction with the approaching holy month of Ramadan, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Defense, has directed the launch of the second season of the "Mu'adhin Al-Farij" initiative with a new model focused on the role of the family in enhancing national identity, social, and Islamic values among the younger generations. His Highness also launched the "Qur'an in Every Home" initiative, aimed at providing a copy of the Holy Qur'an in every home in Dubai, promoting religious culture and facilitating access to copies of the Qur'an. The initiative also aims to encourage individuals and families to recite and reflect on its verses during the holy month of Ramadan.

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed has also instructed a 50% increase in the number of mosques included in the initiative, with a focus on attracting children aged 6-14 years, to strengthen their connection with mosques and encourage them to participate in calling the Adhan and performing Taraweeh prayers during Ramadan, deepening their bond with the mosques. He emphasized the importance of achieving the objectives of the initiative in its second season, which will represent a new start that will contribute to increasing community participation and leave a lasting impact on the children.

These directives are in line with the leadership's vision to strengthen the role of the family in instilling national identity, social, and Islamic values in the new generations. The focus is also on the importance of dressing in national attire when going to the mosques, reflecting their connection to Emirati culture and identity, and adhering to the proper etiquette of the mosques. Additionally, it aims to promote values of respect and cooperation among children of different ages and support the societal role of mosques as centers for education, upbringing, and character building.

His Highness also places great importance on the role of the Emirati family in strengthening the bond between parents and children, guiding them toward correct values and principles. The role of parents in guiding their children is considered one of the essential elements for the success of the initiative, contributing to the consolidation of religious and social values in children. The initiative also aims to enhance the Emirati family’s role in educating their children about religious matters and ensuring they understand how to perform prayers correctly.

His Excellency Ahmed Darwish Al-Muhairi, Director General of the Department, expressed his pride in His Highness's support for the continuation of the "Mu'adhin Al-Farij" initiative in its second season with its new form, in accordance with the high directives. He affirmed that the launch of the initiative aligns with the goals of Dubai's Social Agenda 33, which aims to achieve the happiest, most connected, tolerant families who are deeply rooted in values and national identity. He noted that the initiative contributes to preparing a responsible generation capable of serving the community by strengthening the connection of children with mosques and highlighting the beauty of the Adhan as a pure call to goodness and worship, while also enhancing community interaction by encouraging families to involve their children in understanding the requirements of the Adhan. He expressed high aspirations for the second season and confidence in the role of the judging committee in selecting promising talents who will achieve the goals of the initiative.

The department announced that registration for the initiative will begin on January 13, 2025, with the last date for submissions being February 7, 2025. The evaluation and selection phase will start on February 10, 2025, where submissions will be assessed based on a set of precise criteria aimed at highlighting the best and most distinguished voices in calling the Adhan.
