As part of the "Ramadan in Dubai" initiative, the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai organized the "Pulse of Dubai" event at the Umm Alsheif Cultural Center, in collaboration with the Al Mizhar Cultural Islamic Center. This took place in line with the "Year of Community" and IACAD’s strategy, "Closer to the Community." The event targeted women of various generations from the neighboring communities in the Umm Alsheif area, bringing together grandmothers, mothers, and young women in a gathering aimed at transferring experiences and expertise, strengthening Emirati values, and building strong social bonds in a Ramadan atmosphere.
Sheikha Sultan Al-Marri, Director of the Islamic Knowledge Programs, confirmed that "Pulse of Dubai" has seen positive community engagement for the third consecutive year. She pointed out that "the growing participation reflects the community's interest in attending events that combine benefit and enjoyment, enhancing social relationships during Ramadan, in alignment with the department's vision to reach the community with initiatives that enrich religious and cultural knowledge."
Educational and Awareness Sessions at Umm Alsheif Center
The Umm Alsheif Cultural Islamic Center hosted the event on March 9, with over 100 beneficiaries in attendance. The program included a variety of activities, such as a lecture titled "People of the Quran" by Hessa Abdullah, which discussed the importance of the Quran in an individual’s life and its role in building positive values and behaviors.
Additionally, a discussion session titled "Rejuvenation and Embrace" was held in the Ramadan Majlis, led by Mona Tarish Al-Aleili. During the session, concepts of family cohesion were discussed, emphasizing the importance of establishing strong foundations for relationships within the family and preserving core values amid societal changes.
Al Mizhar Center: Women in Ramadan and the Beauty of Eid

A Ramadan reflection titled "O Seeker of Good, Come Forward" was delivered by Dr. Najat Alawi, where she emphasized the importance of utilizing the blessed month for worship, good deeds, and strengthening social bonds.
Focusing on women's self-care, Dr. Sawsan Al-Mulla gave a lecture titled "Be More Beautiful for Eid," which covered skincare techniques before Eid and the best practices to maintain freshness and health with modern scientific methods.
Wide Community Engagement and Demand for Repetition of the Event
"Pulse of Dubai" received widespread praise from participants, who described it as "unique, well-organized, and enriching." Many expressed their desire for the continuation of such events, as they offer valuable knowledge and provide an opportunity for social interaction.
