As part of the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai efforts to enhance community cohesion and spread happiness during Eid al-Fitr, IACAD, in collaboration with the Community Development Authority of Dubai, organized its annual initiative “May You Be Among the Blessed” aimed at spreading the Eid atmosphere across several prayer areas and mosques in the emirate.
These include: Umm Suqeim Prayer Area, Al-Aweer Prayer Area, Nad Al-Hammar Prayer Area, Al-Lisaily Prayer Area, Hatta Prayer Area, Ahmed Mohammed Al-Habay Mosque, and Nad Al-Shiba Mosque, immediately following the Eid prayer.
The event included the distribution of gifts, Eid treats, and sweets to children, creating a joyful atmosphere and fostering community connection, in alignment with the UAE's core values that promote brotherhood and compassion.
This initiative aligns with the Year of Community 2025 and is part of ongoing efforts to implement its strategy “Closer to the Community” through impactful initiatives that encourage positive interaction among community members and embody the spirit of giving and tolerance.
Ahmed Abdullah Al-Raisi, Chairman of the Youth Council of the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department confirmed that this initiative is in line with the wise directives of our leadership, which always seeks to make religious occasions platforms for enhancing community cohesion and solidarity.
Al-Raisi added that the initiative reflects IACAD’s commitment to its community role and its dedication to supporting initiatives that instill community values and strengthen the spirit of giving and love.
