In affirmation of its commitment to the UAE's vision for a more sustainable and prosperous future, the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai has been awarded the “Qawl wa Fi’l” (Say and Do) label for the Year of Sustainability. The award recognizes IACAD’s institutional and community initiatives that have embedded sustainability as a core value across its projects and programs.
This achievement crowns a series of impactful milestones launched by IACAD during the “Year of the Community,” characterized by social responsibility, resource sustainability, and the promotion of sustainable institutional practices—all in alignment with the UAE’s wise leadership and as a tangible embodiment of the “Say and Do” ethos.
On this occasion, H.E. Ahmed Darwish Al Muhairi, Director General of IACAD, stated:
“We are proud to receive the Year of Sustainability label, which reflects our deep commitment to sustainable development values. It reaffirms our dedication to aligning our religious and community initiatives with our leadership’s vision for building a sustainable and prosperous future.”
He added: “Sustainability has always been, and continues to be, a fundamental part of our operational approach. Through it, we promote awareness, embed a culture of responsibility, and deliver long-lasting services that positively impact individuals and society. We draw inspiration from our wise leadership to establish a comprehensive institutional model that raises societal awareness and embeds sustainability as a behavior, culture, and way of life.”
IACAD affirmed that this recognition serves as a renewed motivation to continue adopting best sustainability practices and to expand its strategic partnerships, further strengthening its role as a key contributor to the comprehensive development of Dubai and the UAE.
