The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department (IACAD) in Dubai continues its awareness and educational efforts with the launch of the second edition of the “Ajyal” Program for the academic year 2025/2026. The initiative is implemented in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) in Dubai, in alignment with the “Year of Community” and under the umbrella of the “Gheras Al Khair” initiative. The program targets a wide spectrum of students from public and private schools, as well as parents and teaching staff, with the aim of strengthening Islamic values and national identity.

The second season expands the program to include public schools alongside private schools, with the first phase launching in 15 public schools. This expansion responds to parents’ requests to broaden the initiative, reflecting IACAD’s commitment to being closer to the community and more responsive to its aspirations.

His Excellency Ahmed Darwish Al Muhairi, Director General of IACAD, stated that the launch of the second season of the Ajyal Program comes as part of the department’s commitment to enhancing its educational mission within the school community, in line with the wise leadership’s directives to build a balanced generation that takes pride in its Islamic values and national identity. He explained that the positive results and wide engagement witnessed during the first season served as a strong incentive to expand the program to Ministry of Education schools, starting with 15 public schools.

His Excellency further noted that this move was in direct response to parents’ demands to extend the initiative to public schools, reaffirming the department’s keenness to remain close to society and responsive to its needs. He added: “We were determined to live up to the trust society has placed in us through a prompt and direct response that meets the expectations of parents, teachers, and students alike.”

The program reflects the department’s vision of instilling authentic Islamic values in students through a variety of interactive activities, including motivational competitions, educational workshops, dialogue sessions, as well as innovative social initiatives and incentive awards. These efforts contribute to raising students’ religious awareness, promoting positive behavior, and enhancing the involvement of parents and educators in supporting the educational process.

For her part, Her Excellency Aisha Abdulla Miran, Director General of KHDA in Dubai, said:

“We are delighted to continue our cooperation with IACAD through the Ajyal Program for the second consecutive year, as part of our long-standing partnership with the department. We are committed to empowering our students, and this program provides an opportunity to strengthen their awareness of positive values and the noble teachings of Islam, while creating a supportive and stimulating educational environment. Given the strong engagement from students and the active involvement of parents in the previous academic year, the program also offers positive platforms for communication between all stakeholders. This is in line with the objectives of the Dubai Social Agenda 33 and the Dubai Education Strategy 2033, which aim to reinforce cultural identity and instill authentic Emirati values within the educational community.”
