As part of its ongoing efforts to promote Islamic culture and instill religious values within the community, the Umm Al Sheif Islamic Cultural Center, affiliated with the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai (IACAD), has launched the second edition of the "Mawasim Al-Khair" initiative. This program targets women of all age groups through a series of specialized lectures focusing on the virtues of the sacred months and the blessed days of Dhul Hijjah.
The series will begin on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, with an opening seminar titled "Al-Bayt Al-Atiq" (The Ancient House), delivered by a select group of the center’s instructors. Participants will embark on an enlightening journey through time and space, exploring the history of the Sacred House (Kaaba) and the significance of its reverence. The event will be held at the center's headquarters in Umm Al Sheif from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
The lectures will then continue virtually through a series of awareness sessions, including:
• “Days of the World” by Ms. Awatif Al Shehhi on May 27
• “Allahu Akbar… Do You Know Who Allah Is?” by Ms. Khadija Naseeb on May 29
• “Rulings on Udhiyah (Sacrificial Offering)” by Dr. Zahra Al Jabri on June 2
• The series will conclude with a lecture titled “The Day of Arafah” by Ms. Hessa Abdullah on June 4, 2025
This initiative builds on the success of the first edition of Mawasim Al-Khair and reflects the department’s commitment to offering comprehensive religious and educational programs that address the needs of women and support their intellectual empowerment—aligning with the wise leadership’s vision to strengthen the role of women in community development.
It is noteworthy that all lectures are offered free of charge through online access links, and the department has invited women to take advantage of this valuable opportunity to deepen their knowledge of Islamic teachings during these blessed and virtuous days.
