In line with its commitment to investing in the development of female talents and empowering them in media and knowledge-based fields, the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai (IACAD) has participated in the “Media Competency for Women Leaders” program. The initiative is organized by the Dubai Women Establishment in collaboration with the Dubai Media Academy. This step reflects the department’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the presence of Emirati women in the media landscape and solidify their role as active partners in the comprehensive development journey witnessed by the UAE.
This collaboration underscores the department’s approach to supporting and qualifying its national workforce, and to building leadership capabilities that can effectively represent the department in vital sectors—particularly media, which is considered one of the most important tools of influence and societal communication.
This effort is also aligned with the department’s strategic objective of fostering a stimulating work environment that promotes excellence and creativity, in harmony with the wise leadership’s vision of enhancing the role of Emirati women across various vital sectors—especially media.
ousha Ahmed Obeid, Acting Director of the Human Resources Department, affirmed that the participation of the department’s female employees in this program is a translation of IACAD’s approach to empowering women and preparing them for leadership positions through specialized, high-quality programs.
She noted that investing in human capital is a strategic priority for the department and reflects the modern directions of the UAE leadership in empowering government teams and enhancing their readiness for the future by developing national competencies. This, in turn, reinforces the role of Emirati women as key partners in shaping the future and elevating the UAE’s status across all fields.
The program is expected to positively impact the participants by enhancing their communication and strategic media planning skills, enabling them to actively contribute to the department’s future media initiatives. This reinforces the role of IACAD in supporting and empowering women and expanding their participation in distinguished national programs, in line with the department’s vision of nurturing a generation of female leaders capable of influencing the media scene both locally and globally.
