HE Dr. Hamad Al Shibani: Dubai is a civilized model of the moderate and integrated religious discourse in the Islamic world

The Dubai Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department contributed to the 9th International Symposium organized by the College of Islamic and Arabic Studies in Dubai, under the theme "Protecting the Nation in light of Prophet, a legitimate and community necessity". The seminar presented 35 scientific papers, over three days, from different participants from various Arab and Islamic countries.

HE Dr. Hamad Bin Al Shaikh Ahmed Al Shaibani, Director General of the Department, said, "The United Arab Emirates is a Model in The Religious Discourse and its Strategic Impact on the Protection of the Nation,". His speech delivered at the opening session of the seminar and attended by senior dignitaries and scientists from different educational institutions locally and internationally. Al-Shaibani stressed in his speech on the importance of religious discourse directed to the purpose of reunification and commitment to the word and its dimensions.

HE Pointing out that "the homeland that we do not protect, does not deserve to live in it." that the UAE has reached advanced stages in its control and rationalization. He pointed out that the UAE is a habitat for peace and tolerance for more than 200 nationalities under the great efforts of our leadership and all concerned parties in the country. The UAE is a model for other countries in the tolerance and advancement of moderate religious discourse and its comprehensiveness.

He referred to the Islamic efforts in Dubai in dealing with the Friday sermon in terms of its subject, and culture, and what the Department offers to the people who attended mosque's in all areas of knowledge and awareness to suit the need of the Muslim with due regard to the necessities of the times. He praised the constructive cooperation between the Department and the General Authority for Islamic Affairs.

He also highlighted the great achievement of the United Arab Emirates under the leadership in embracing the meeting of the humanitarian brotherhood between religions and its positive impact on international and humanitarian relations.

At the conclusion of the opening session, His Excellency Dr. Juma Al Majed honored HE Dr. Hamad Al Shaibani for his valuable participation in the International Symposium and the Gold Sponsorship provided by the Department.
