Dubai International Quran Award Postpones 2025/1446 Edition to Ensure a More Distinguished Launch

The Dubai International Quran Award of the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai, has announced the postponement of its 2025/1446 edition. This decision reflects the award's ongoing commitment to developing the competition and enhancing its standards to better serve the Quran and its sciences with the highest levels of excellence and quality. The decision is in line with the strategic vision of the award to improve participants' experiences and provide a competitive environment that allows Quran memorizers to showcase their skills in the best possible way.

In this context, His Excellency Ahmed Darwish Al-Muhairi, Director General of the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Dubai International Quran Award, confirmed that the postponement decision followed in-depth studies aimed at further developing the competition's mechanisms. These adjustments aim to align with international standards and fulfill the aspirations of the leadership to make the competition a global model in motivating Quran memorizers.

His Excellency added: "The postponement of the 2025 edition aims to reassess all technical and organizational aspects of the competition, including the judging criteria, registration mechanisms, and suggestions from participants, to ensure a competitive and motivating environment for all contestants. We aim to introduce new methods that enhance performance quality and expand participation, allowing more Quran memorizers to compete for this great honor."

Al-Muhairi emphasized that the award seeks to elevate its global standing and enhance its credibility. Efforts will be made to review the various categories of the competition, ensuring they align with aspirations and achieve the noble goals for which the award was created. He added: "We are committed to providing an exceptional experience for the participants."

The Board of Trustees of the Dubai International Quran Award expressed deep appreciation to all partners, supporters, and participants for their understanding and continued support of these developmental efforts. They reaffirmed the award's commitment to continuing its mission of serving the Quran and strengthening the competition's position as one of the most important global Quranic platforms.
