A generous donor has paid AED 12,000 to cover the medication costs for 55-year-old patient Mohamed, who has been suffering from lymphoma for the past eight months. The donation was coordinated between the donor and the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai through the "hotline," allowing the funds to be transferred to the appropriate entity.
Mohamed expressed his deep gratitude to the donor, appreciating their support during his difficult financial circumstances. He affirmed that this donation reflects the values of solidarity and cooperation that characterize the people of the UAE in supporting humanitarian cases.
On the first of this month, "Emarat Al-Youm" published Mohamed's story, detailing his suffering after being transferred to Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City upon discovering a cancerous tumor in his lymph nodes. He underwent an urgent surgery and received chemotherapy to manage his health condition. However, he faced financial difficulties that prevented him from covering his treatment costs, as he works as a private driver earning a monthly salary of AED 1,000, making it challenging to meet his family's needs in Bangladesh.
