The "Ghiras Alsaif" program, organized by the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai, continues to achieve its educational and social objectives in the current season. In its second week, the program recorded the participation of 620 female students in a comprehensive learning environment that embodies IACAD’s vision of being closer to the community—especially to the younger generation.
The program was conducted across 33 classrooms, supervised by 45 teachers and supported by 77 volunteers. Together, they delivered 539 educational and interactive workshops, totaling 922 teaching hours. These sessions covered value-based education, Quranic activities, and skill-building programs.
The second week featured a series of inspiring interactive workshops that enriched the participants’ educational experience. One of the highlights was the “Journey with the Moon and Stars” workshop, which took students on a fascinating astronomical tour blending science and faith. It taught them how to determine the Qibla direction using celestial bodies.
The “Smart Piggy Bank” workshop opened new horizons for students in giving and humanitarian work. It instilled the values of solidarity and volunteerism from an early age in a simple and inspiring manner.
Meanwhile, the “Build Your Space Mission” workshop—held in collaboration with the Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre—sparked the imagination of participants, introducing them to the secrets of space missions in an engaging way. It stimulated their scientific curiosity and strengthened their sense of ambition and national pride. These workshops served as inspiring stations that made a meaningful impact on the students’ awareness and embodied the program’s philosophy of linking education with values and knowledge with identity.
In this context, Sheikha Sultan Al Marri, the Program Officer of "Ghiras Alsaif" emphasized that the figures reflect the growing community interest in the program and reinforce parents’ confidence in its educational content. She noted that the program aims to instill values and national identity in children within a safe and motivating educational environment that combines learning with entertainment—contributing to the development of a conscious, responsible generation proud of its religious and national identity.
"Ghiras Alsaif" is one of IACAD’s leading annual community initiatives, designed to enrich the knowledge of children and youth during the summer break. It is implemented in cooperation with several local entities and aligns with the strategic vision of Dubai’s government to build and empower individuals.
