In a practical embodiment of the values of giving and social solidarity, the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai announced the first quarter results for 2025 of the “The Fruits of Your Charity” initiative. The program aims to promote a culture of sustainable giving by directing donations through credible and impactful channels, ensuring tangible benefits for beneficiaries and enhancing their quality of life.
Statistical indicators from the initiative revealed significant growth in both donation volume and the number of beneficiaries compared to the same period last year. This reflects the growing trust of the community in the initiative and confirms its effectiveness as a reliable institutional platform for delivering charitable support to those who truly need it.
Total donations collected through the initiative reached nearly AED 15 million, which was allocated to support several impactful social and humanitarian sub-initiatives. Among them: Bed of Goodness”, which helped cover the treatment costs of 19 low-income patients and provided them with essential medical equipment — aiding in their recovery and easing the financial burden on their families. “Seat of Knowledge”, which enabled 142 underprivileged students in schools and universities to continue their education by supporting their families with tuition fees and basic educational supplies.
Additionally, the “Easing Distress” initiative continued its mission of settling the debts of insolvent inmates. In the first quarter alone, it contributed to the release of 28 inmates, allowing them to regain family and social stability and start a new chapter in their lives.
The initiative also supported other humanitarian programs, including aid for people of determination, providing meals to those in need, facilitating Hajj pilgrimages, and mosque construction. Seasonal campaigns like “Saned 2” and “Eid Greetings” were also part of the initiative. Altogether, these programs benefited around 6,756 individuals, with a total value nearing AED 8 million.
Commenting on the results, Mohammed Musbeh Dhahi, Executive Director of the Charitable Work Sector at the Department, stated: “The achievements reflect the effectiveness of the initiative and its success in reaching the rightful beneficiaries. The rapid growth in donations and beneficiaries is due to the expansion of digital campaigns and activation of strategic partnerships with reputable charitable organizations. Every dirham spent has the power to change a life — giving extends to bringing peace to hearts and reinforcing the values of human solidarity.”
Dhahi added that “The Fruits of Your Charity” represents a pioneering model of institutional charitable work by providing a transparent and efficient system that ensures donations reach the right recipients. This contributes to achieving a sustainable positive impact that enhances quality of life and preserves human dignity.
