"winter Ghiras " Launches Its Second Edition to Strengthen National Identity and Religious Values in the new Generations

The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department has announced the launch of the second edition of its "winter Ghiras " program, as part of the "Ghiras Alkhair" initiative. This program is a significant step toward achieving the goals of Dubai's Social Agenda 33, which aims to promote religious awareness and Islamic culture among targeted groups of girls, enhancing their understanding of religious teachings in a way that keeps pace with the modern era. This follows the success of the "Summer Ghiras" program.

The program focuses on instilling Islamic values, promoting religious awareness, and reinforcing Emirati identity through initiatives that aim to foster Emirati national heritage, and to introduce younger generations to the history and cultural heritage of the UAE.

Mr. Mohammed Mehad Al-Suwaidi, Director of the Religious Education and Guidance Department, and the program's manager, confirmed that the " Winter Ghiras " program will take place from December 16 to 25, 2024. It will target girls aged 7 to 15, offering courses related to Islamic values, the Quran, and Islamic etiquette, as well as promoting Emirati identity and artificial intelligence. These sessions will be held weekly on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

The activities will be organized at all centers affiliated with the Islamic Knowledge Programs Department, including Al Mizhar, Umm Al sheif, Nad Al Sheba, as well as all centers under the Maktoum Centers for Quranic Sciences in the areas of Al Warqa 1, Nad Al Sheba 4. In addition, activities will take place at the Hatta Community Center, the Mohammed bin Rashid Center for Islamic Culture in Al Barsha 3, and the Al-Nahda Association in Al Lisaili. This program is designed to enhance partnerships with key collaborators, including the Al Nahda Women's Association and the Community Development Authority. "Winter Ghiras" represents an investment in a generation that upholds the values of its religion and loyalty to its country, empowering them to steer their course toward a bright future and a cohesive society that takes pride in its roots and values.
