Wide Community Response to the Second Edition of the "Muezzin Al Freej" Initiative Supported by Emaar

Wide Community Response to the Second Edition of the "Muezzin Al Freej" Initiative Supported by Emaar

Following the directive of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Defense, the second season of the " Muezzin Al Freej " initiative, launched by the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department, has garnered wide community attention since its announcement. This significant response reflects the community’s awareness of the importance of the adhan (call to prayer) as a religious practice and a symbol of Islamic identity, in addition to its role in strengthening the bonds between generations and encouraging positive competition among participants, especially children, to deepen their connection to Islamic and national values.

In this regard, His Excellency Ahmed Darwish Al-Muhairi, Director-General of the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department, stated that the large response to the " Muezzin Al Freej " initiative reflects the awareness of the community and families regarding the importance of instilling noble Islamic values in the hearts of the younger generations. He explained that IACAD’s goal through this initiative is to strengthen the connection of children and youth to mosques, enabling them to understand the adhan as a religious practice and a key component of their Islamic and national identity.

He added that the support provided by the Emaar Foundation plays a vital role in achieving the goals of the initiative, as it reflects the company’s commitment to its societal role in promoting the values that form the foundation of our community. He pointed out that this partnership with Emaar sends a community message that emphasizes the importance of collaboration between the public and private sectors in supporting national initiatives that contribute to building a cohesive and aware society.

In a statement, Mohammed Ali Alabbar, Founder and Executive Board Member of Emaar, said: "We are proud to support the “Muezzin Al Freej” initiative, which His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum directed to launch with a new format. The initiative represents one of the most impactful national initiatives in promoting authentic Islamic values and revitalizing community ties between generations." He emphasized that Emaar’s vision goes beyond offering sponsorship, aiming to enhance national and Islamic identity through active participation in initiatives that instill these values in the hearts of youth and children.

Alabbar also noted that Emaar takes on its societal role, which is an integral part of the company’s leading message and institution, through various partnerships with governmental agencies and institutions. He clarified that supporting "Muezzin of the Neighborhood" in its second season will have a positive and sustainable impact, contributing to the revival of practices that highlight the noble human values that have always been the foundation of the Emirati community.

The initiative will continue to accept submissions until February 7, 2025, after which the evaluation of the voices will begin by a specialized judging panel, working to select promising talents that embody the objectives of the initiative and reflect its noble values.
