"Tarahem Charity" Supports " Yaak Al-Awn 6" with 2 Million Dirhams

"Tarahem Charity" Supports " Yaak Al-Awn 6" with 2 Million Dirhams

Tarahem Charity Foundation has donated 2 million dirhams in support of the " Yaak Al-Awn 6 " initiative, which is enough to release 23 Emiratis who are financially distressed and facing legal prosecution. The initiative, which is adopted by "Emirates Today," Dubai Courts, and The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai, aims to release 212 citizens in Dubai who are financially distressed and legally pursued, with financial cases against them. The initiative aims to settle their debts, amounting to 20 million AED, to reunite them with their families before Eid al-Fitr.

Emirates Today was provided with the number of financially distressed citizens after their cases were reviewed and approved by the "Courts of Goodness" Committee in Dubai Courts. The "Courts of Goodness" committee conducted settlements for the beneficiaries of the initiative with creditors, successfully reducing the debts from 38,381,597 dirhams to 20 million dirhams. Donations to the initiative include 2 million dirhams from Emirates Islamic Bank, 3 million dirhams from the Al Khair House Society, 2 million dirhams from The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai, 1 million AED from Dubai Insurance Company, 1 million dirhams from Alwaleed Real Estate, 1 million AED from the Endowments and Minors Affairs Foundation in Dubai, and 2 million AED from Tarahem Charity Foundation. This brings the total donations for this initiative since its launch to 12 million AED, contributing to the release of 115 citizens.

Dr. Ahmed Tahlik, the General Director of Tarahem Charity Foundation, stated that the association's primary focus is on helping citizens who are deserving of support and assistance. It has made it a top priority to offer help to those in need, low-income groups, and those facing legal, financial, social, and living challenges within the UAE community. He emphasized the foundation's humanitarian approach and charity work, extending its support and mercy to all needy individuals, regardless of nationality. Tarahem Charity has chosen to contribute 2 million dirhams to the " Yaak Al-Awn 6 " initiative as part of its ongoing commitment to charity.

He reaffirmed Tarahem Charity's commitment to actively participating in various charitable, humanitarian, national, social, and developmental initiatives and campaigns, contributing to their success, and working hard to achieve their goals and enhance their impact on the ground. This reflects the foundation's commitment to fulfilling its societal, national, and humanitarian responsibilities, aligning with the vision and directives of the UAE's leadership.

Dr. Tahlik highlighted the significant role played by philanthropists and donors in supporting Tarahem Charity’s initiatives, with their continuous donations helping to support those in need. The association ensures that donations are delivered to those deserving, using the highest standards of governance, transparency, accuracy, and integrity in its charitable and humanitarian work.

He called on philanthropists, families, public and private sector institutions, and civil society organizations to continue supporting the association and donating to help those with limited incomes, enabling the execution of valuable charity projects and humanitarian initiatives. This, in turn, will alleviate the suffering of the needy and fulfill their living, financial, service, and developmental needs.

Judge Khaled Al-Shamsi, Head of the "Courts of Goodness" Committee in Dubai Courts, stated that the " Yaak Al-Awn 6 " initiative reflects the values of compassion and social solidarity that distinguish the UAE community. It has become a shining model for supporting financially distressed individuals and empowering them to restore their lives with confidence and dignity.

He added, "The competition among governmental and private entities to donate confirms the depth of social responsibility that our institutions uphold, and reflects their firm belief in the importance of solidarity and supporting the most vulnerable groups. This initiative is not just a charitable act; it is a humanitarian message that enhances the concept of social justice and offers hope to those facing legal and financial challenges. We thank all the supporting entities and individual contributors for their role in making this initiative a success, and we encourage everyone to continue giving for a more cohesive and compassionate society."

Ibrahim Shukrallah, Editor-in-Chief of "Emirates Today," praised the generous donation of 2 million dirhams by Tarahem Charity Foundation in support of the " Yaak Al-Awn 6 " initiative. He explained that this contribution is enough to release 23 citizens included in the initiative, noting that donations for the initiative have reached 12 million dirhams, which will help release 115 citizens facing financial difficulties and legal issues.

He pointed out the significant response from institutions and individuals in supporting national initiatives across the country, especially the " Yaak Al-Awn 6 " initiative, which targets financially distressed citizens. Shukrallah called on organizations operating in the country to embody the slogan of the " Yaak Al-Awn 6 " initiative by contributing the necessary support for it. He also urged all governmental and private institutions, as well as individuals, to enhance their community role and support the remaining 97 citizens included in this community initiative.

It is worth mentioning that "Emirates Today," Dubai Courts, and The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai launched the sixth season of the humanitarian initiative "Yak Al-Aoun," aiming to collect 20 million dirhams to relieve the hardship of 212 citizens before Eid al-Fitr. This initiative is part of a memorandum of understanding to release financially distressed and legally pursued citizens in Dubai, and it comes in conjunction with the joy of Ramadan and the upcoming Eid al-Fitr. This leading national community initiative is also part of the newspaper’s initiatives for the "Year of Community
