“Summer Ghiras 2025” by IACAD: A Summer that Cultivates Young Leaders with Emirati Identity

The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai has launched the " Summer Ghiras 2025" program for girls aged 7 to 15, under the slogan “Today’s Seeds... Tomorrow’s Harvest.” The initiative aligns with IACAD’s strategic vision to enhance community engagement and contribute to the upbringing of future generations, in line with the “Year of Community 2025” national direction.

The program aims to instill Islamic and national values in young girls while developing their leadership and life skills, empowering them to grow into confident, identity-rooted individuals prepared for future challenges. Scheduled across two summer terms—July 7 to 24 and August 4 to 22, 2025—the program will run Monday through Thursday. It offers an innovative educational experience that combines knowledge with practical application, merging learning with entertainment in a dynamic, interactive environment that encourages growth and self-confidence.

The program is structured around five integrated themes: the Holy Qur’an, Emirati etiquette (Sana’), life skills, leadership, and innovation. These components are delivered through a comprehensive educational framework that nurtures scientifically and practically qualified girls who are committed to their religious and national values and able to engage with the modern world with balance and integrity.

To ensure wide accessibility and participation, IACAD has rolled out the " Summer Ghiras 2025" program across several of its centers throughout Dubai. These include: Maktoum Centers for Qur’an and its Sciences in Al Warqa and Nad Al Sheba 4, Umm Al Sheif Islamic Cultural Center, Al Mizhar Islamic Cultural Center, Mohammed bin Rashid Center for Islamic Culture in Al Barsha 3, Nad Al Sheba Women’s Center, and Hatta.

On this occasion, H.E. Ahmed Darwish Al Muhairi, Director General of IACAD, affirmed that “Summer Ghiras 2025” builds on the positive educational impact of its previous editions. He emphasized that the program embodies the Department’s commitment to nurturing future generations in an environment rooted in their social reality, guided by content that blends authentic values with modern skills.

His Excellency added that this initiative represents an investment in the Emirati girl, who is a fundamental pillar in the nation’s future. He stressed the belief that the values and skills planted today will yield future generations that are exceptional in their contributions and active in their communities. This vision aligns with the leadership’s directives for the Year of Community and the Department’s deep-rooted commitment to social responsibility across all its initiatives.

The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai invites parents to register their daughters and benefit from this comprehensive educational program, which aims to shape the Emirati girl’s character based on strong religious and national identity, and to equip her with professional and intellectual empowerment in preparation for a distinguished future.

Early registration is encouraged via the designated online link, as participation is free but places are limited.
