In an initiative that embodies the spirit of giving during the blessed month of Ramadan, the "Step of Life" initiative, part of "Ramadan in Dubai," continues to make a social impact. Since its launch, it has witnessed widespread participation from over 290 participants from various residential neighborhoods (Furjan), who together took more than 11 million steps within one week of the initiative's announcement.
This initiative is part of a competitive framework aimed at turning physical effort into tangible support for those in need and people of determination. This year's proceeds were dedicated to supporting the "Father’s Endowment," which reflects the deeply rooted values of the Emirati community and enhances the concept of sustainable giving by channeling individual efforts to support those most in need.
The initiative saw participation from 10 neighborhoods, where participants engaged in a positive competitive spirit to convert their steps into actual contributions for the deserving, thanks to the support of partner charitable organizations.
The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai emphasized its pivotal role in supporting community initiatives that align with the leadership's vision, fostering a culture of giving, and encouraging the community to actively participate in charitable work in innovative and sustainable ways.
In this context, Ahmed Faisal Al-Janahi, the charitable events official for Ramadan in Dubai, stated: “The great turnout for the 'Step of Life' initiative reflects the community’s awareness of the importance of giving in modern and impactful ways. This challenge combines physical activity with charity work to make a real difference in the lives of those in need.” He added, “What distinguishes this initiative is its connection to the 'Father’s Endowment,' which embodies the meanings of benevolence and solidarity, making each step a contribution to a sustainable charitable effort.”
