Start of the Qualifiers for the Rashid bin Mohammed Quran Competition for Private School Students in Dubai until February 4

Under the generous patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Hind bint Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum, wife of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President of the UAE, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai, in collaboration with the Knowledge and Human Development Authority, has launched the "Sheikh Rashid bin Mohammed Al Maktoum Quran Competition" for students in Dubai's private schools. This competition is part of the "Ghiras Al Khair" initiative and will run from January 20 to February 4, 2025.

The qualifiers will take place at the Maktoum Center for Quranic Studies and Sciences in its Al Warqa and Nad Al Sheba branches, as well as at the cultural centers affiliated with the Department in Umm Suqeim, Al Mizhar, and Nad Al Sheba, along with the Mohammed bin Rashid Center for Islamic Culture.

Statistics have shown the wide participation, reflecting the success of the joint efforts between The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department and the Knowledge and Human Development Authority. All resources have been provided to ensure the achievement of the noble objectives of the competition, which include promoting Islamic values and instilling a culture of excellence in learning the Quran.

It is worth noting that the department has conducted a series of intensive field visits to raise awareness about the competition and encourage students to participate, in addition to forming final judging committees to ensure fairness and transparency in the evaluation process. The "Sheikh Rashid bin Mohammed Al Maktoum Quran Competition for Private School Students in Dubai" serves as a leading platform for discovering young talents in memorizing and reciting the Quran, offering the necessary support to nurture these talents, and extending Dubai’s efforts to establish itself as a global model in serving the Holy Quran and supporting its memorizers. These efforts aim to empower Quran memorizers to become ambassadors of Islam and its noble values at local and international forums.
