As part of its efforts to promote religious awareness and reinforce Islamic values during the blessed month of Ramadan, the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai is organizing a series of lectures titled "Seasons of Goodness 2025." These lectures are aimed at women and cover various fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence) topics that deepen religious understanding and help maximize the virtues of this blessed month.
The lectures will be held at the Um Al-Sheif Islamic Cultural Center, and the first event will take place on Tuesday, March 4th (4th of Ramadan). The lecture, presented by Mrs. Khadija Naseeb, is titled "The Name of Allah, Al-Fattah, and the Month of Ramadan," and will run from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The lecture will highlight the meanings of divine opening and mercy during Ramadan and how to experience these blessings throughout the days of fasting and worship.
In preparation for the last ten days of Ramadan, Mrs. Moza Al-Shamsi will deliver a lecture titled "Welcome, Ten Days of Goodness" on Tuesday, March 18th (18th of Ramadan) after Taraweeh prayer. The lecture will focus on the virtues of these blessed days and how to make the most of them to draw closer to Allah.
Dr. Zahra Al-Jabri will give two lectures. The first, titled "Rulings of Zakat al-Fitr, followed by a Fatwa Session," will be held on Thursday, March 20th (20th of Ramadan) from 3:00 to 4:00 PM. The lecture will cover the most important rulings regarding Zakat al-Fitr and its impact on achieving social solidarity, followed by a fatwa session where attendees can ask their fiqh-related questions. The second lecture, titled "The Most Beautiful Night," will take place on Tuesday, March 25th (25th of Ramadan) after Taraweeh prayer. It will address the virtues and greatness of Laylat al-Qadr, and will also be followed by a fatwa session to answer attendees' inquiries.
These events are part of IACAD’s commitment to supporting the vision of the wise leadership and Dubai's Social Agenda 33, aiming to enhance community awareness of religious values and firmly establish them. Through these Ramadan programs, the department seeks to spread authentic Islamic knowledge and create an interactive environment that benefits the community.
