In practical response to the “Al-Wolfa Season” launched by His Highness Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, and chaired by Her Highness Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and within the framework of the “Ramadan in Dubai” initiative, the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai has announced the launch of a comprehensive Ramadan season for 2026. The season reflects the emirate’s vision of strengthening family cohesion and reinforcing spiritual and humanitarian values, in alignment with the direction of the “Year of the Family 2026.”

The Ramadan season by Islamic Affairs Dubai comes as part of a system of qualitative programs that place the family at the heart of the Ramadan experience, linking worship, knowledge, charity, and community participation. It embodies the spirit of “Al-Wolfa” as an authentic social value that restores warmth to relationships, brings people closer to their mosques, and strengthens unity among all segments of society.

At the forefront of the Ramadan in Dubai 2026 agenda is the “Step for Life” initiative, presented as an innovative model of community solidarity in which participants’ steps are translated into humanitarian support delivered to those in need. This interactive experience combines health and giving, reflecting a modern concept of social responsibility and aligning with the goals of the Al-Wolfa Season in fostering human connection and positive engagement.

Youth also hold a central place in the season through the “Ayal Al-Freej” program, one of the largest Ramadan initiatives aimed at instilling love for prayer in children’s hearts and strengthening their connection to mosques in a motivating educational environment. The program contributes to building a generation connected to its values and identity while supporting the family’s role as a key partner in positive faith-based upbringing.

Ramadan in Dubai 2026 will also feature a distinguished program for Taraweeh and Qiyam prayers through the “Reciters of Dubai” initiative, hosting a select group of renowned reciters. This will fill mosques across the emirate with a spiritually uplifting atmosphere and restore the mosque’s role as a unifying hub for families and a place of tranquility, in harmony with the philosophy of Al-Wolfa, which positions the mosque as a community space extending beyond worship into family and social life.

The season will also include a diverse knowledge-based program of lectures and religious lessons delivered in several languages by a distinguished group of scholars and preachers. These sessions will address topics relevant to the daily lives of fasting individuals, promote a correct understanding of religion, reinforce values of moderation and tolerance, and contribute to building enlightened religious awareness that supports social cohesion.

The humanitarian dimension of the season will be completed through the establishment of Iftar tents in several areas across the emirate, translating the meanings of mercy and compassion into practical initiatives that promote giving and participation, while deepening the values of connection and solidarity within the community.

On this occasion, His Excellency Ahmed Darwish Al Muhairi, Director General of the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai, affirmed that the “Ramadan in Dubai 2026” initiatives are launched in response to the Al-Wolfa Season, presenting a renewed vision aligned with the leadership’s direction to position the family at the center of community development. He noted that the Ramadan season reflects an integrated model of religious and community work that enhances quality of life, reinforces the values of Islam, and brings society closer to the spirit and meanings of the holy month.

For his part, Mohammed Musabeh Ali Dhahi, General Coordinator of Ramadan in Dubai 2026 events, stated that the department has developed its Ramadan programs in line with the objectives of the Al-Wolfa Season, focusing on sustainability and impact creation. He emphasized that the participation of families and community members represents the fundamental pillar for the success of these initiatives and for achieving their intended social impact.

The 2026 Ramadan activities by Islamic Affairs Dubai reflect the continuation of its pioneering role in serving the community and supporting Dubai’s strategic plans through initiatives that combine authenticity and innovation, offering a comprehensive Ramadan experience filled with the spirit of connection and bringing families closer to the values and deeper meanings of the holy month.
