As part of its role in regulating and supporting charitable and humanitarian work in the Emirate of Dubai, and in line with its approach to being closer to the community and strengthening direct engagement with donors and charitable entities, and in preparation for the Holy Month of Ramadan for the year 1447 AH, the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department (IACAD) has announced the early commencement of issuing permits for the distribution of Iftar meals for fasting individuals. This comes within a proactive approach aimed at raising the level of readiness and ensuring the smooth implementation of Ramadan initiatives.
Mohammed Musbeh Dahi, Executive Director of the Charitable Work Sector, stated that this step reflects the Department’s commitment to engaging closely with the community, understanding its needs, and enabling donors, charities, and charitable institutions to plan their Ramadan initiatives in advance. This ensures that Iftar meals are provided in accordance with approved procedures and established regulatory requirements.
He affirmed that the Department continues to develop its procedures and services in a manner that enhances institutional proactivity and flexibility, contributes to facilitating the customer journey, and improves the efficiency of charitable work, in line with the vision of the Emirate of Dubai to reinforce the values of giving and social solidarity.
The Department called upon entities wishing to implement Iftar initiatives to adhere to the approved regulations and submit permit applications in a timely manner, emphasizing its continued provision of the necessary support and guidance to ensure the success of Ramadan campaigns.
