The Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein Cultural and Islamic Centers emphasized, at its branches in Al Mizhar and Umm Al Sheef, as part of Dubai Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department, the control of using social media, a lecture given by Sheikh Mohammed Hassan Al-Taher from the Ifta Department in light of the religious awareness Plan for 2019.

The lecturer discussed the positive aspects of these programs and their negative and Islamic legitimate controls in dealing with them, and how to invest them, citing realistic positions. The lecturer confirmed that the pros overcome the negatives, where the social media are open and accessible to each individual and have the economic, social and intellectual impact on the behavior of the individual and society.

It enabled the user to communicate with the other at all times; it is a good and easy way to spread Islam. It also opened for the traders to expand their market and get used to the e-marketing, the lecturer added, it became a tool to monitor the movement of breaking news, and an opportunity to expand the knowledge to see other cultures.

The lecturer stressed during the meeting the seriousness of the negative feelings left by wrong uses of the social media such as the spreading of fraud, false information and conspiracy. The users must be careful through using these programs by the following acts: first, to make sure of the source of the information before transferring it, second by making Allah presents in your heart, words and deeds to close the door of sin, finally save your deeds from hypocrisy.
