The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai, represented by the Maktoum Centers for Quranic Studies, witnessed a notable increase in the number of participants and beneficiaries from its diverse programs during the first half of 2024. The centers welcomed over 5,615 students, reflecting their leading and pivotal role in promoting Quranic education and enhancing religious values within the Emirati community.
Dr. Abdullah Abdul Jabbar, Acting Director of the Maktoum Centers for Quranic Studies, emphasized that these numbers reflect our deep commitment to meeting community needs through comprehensive educational programs suitable for all age groups. Abdul Jabbar pointed out that the centers continue to develop programs and courses in response to community aspirations.
The report published by Maktoum Centers indicated that the number of Quranic circles exceeded 322, with nearly 63 new circles opened in the third quarter of the current year. Additionally, the number of registered students in the Quranic circles during the first half of 2024 reached 400 new students, spanning various ages from 6 years old to seniors. Notably, these circles are offered in various languages, with Arabic as the primary language, alongside other languages such as English, Urdu, and Chinese.
