The Islamic Affairs and Charitable activities Department in Dubai has announced that its smart application " Dulook DXB" for global prayer times has surpassed 430,000 users worldwide since its launch six months ago. The " Dulook " app aims to provide reliable and accurate solutions for determining prayer times and Qibla direction based on the user's geographic location, making it the first app released by a governmental authority specialized in calculating prayer times globally.
Mr. Hamad Mohammed Saleh, Head of the Timings and Crescent section, emphasized that this significant achievement in users' trust in the app and its effective role in meeting their needs for accurate and easy access to prayer times. "This number is a testament to our commitment to providing an exceptional and reliable user experience." Saleh added, noting that IACAD ongoing efforts to improve the app's features to meet diverse needs and global aspirations, highlighting that " Dulook " is not just a tool for prayer times but a bridge connecting Muslims everywhere to their worship.
The app features an easy-to-use interface and a modern design, prominently displaying Sheikh Rashid bin Mohammed Al Maktoum Mosque as a key icon among mosques in Dubai. It includes additional features such as real-time prayer notifications synchronized with mosque calls, options for alerts before the call to prayer and the Iqamah, and the ability to customize these timings.
The app displays the Hijri date according to official announcements and uses augmented reality to determine the Qibla direction. It provides prayer times for over 50,000 cities worldwide, automatically and accurately identifying the user's geographic location upon opening, a feature not found in similar apps.
"Dulook DXB" can be downloaded for free on iOS and Android platforms, making it the optimal app for Muslims around the world.
