As part of its ongoing efforts to spread religious knowledge and promote cultural and community values, the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai announced the implementation of more than 4,100 knowledge programs during the first quarter of 2025. These programs were carried out across its community centers, including the Al-Mizhar Islamic Cultural Center, the Umm Al-Sheif Islamic Cultural Center, and the Nad Al Sheba Women's Center.
According to the issued statistics, the total number of Qur'an kindergartens, lessons, scientific courses, and knowledge programs organized during this period exceeded 4,100. These activities included lectures, workshops, and specialized classes in the fields of Islamic and Qur'anic sciences.
The number of beneficiaries from these programs exceeded 8,950 individuals from various segments of society. Meanwhile, the number of enrolled female students in Qur'an kindergartens and educational courses surpassed 4,330, underscoring the active participation of women in the religious education system provided by the department.
In this context, Sheikha Sultan Al-Marri, Director of the Islamic Knowledge Programs Department, affirmed IACAD’s commitment to advancing intellectual engagement through unique initiatives that contribute to instilling the values of moderation and tolerance, while providing an attractive educational environment that meets the aspirations and diverse needs of the community.
These efforts come as part of IACAD strategy to strengthen its intellectual and societal role and to solidify its position as a leading institution in disseminating Islamic knowledge and meaningful education. The department offers integrated educational programs that combine authenticity with innovation and take into account the cultural diversity of Dubai.
