The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai received over 1,700 applications for participation in the second edition of the "Muezzin Al Freej 2" initiative, which was launched under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Defense. This reflects the widespread interest in the initiative, which aims to discover and support young talents in the field of the adhan (call to prayer).
The evaluation committees held a coordination meeting to review the approved evaluation criteria to ensure fairness and transparency in selecting outstanding participants.
In this context, Dr. Abdullah Ibrahim Abdul Jabbar, Acting Director of the Maktoum Centers for the Quran and its Sciences, affirmed that the initiative embodies the department's commitment to supporting and encouraging young talents in the field of the adhan, in line with the vision of the wise leadership.
He added that the specialized committees will begin their task of evaluating the submissions of over 1,700 registrants in the initiative according to the criteria set by the organizing committee, which will contribute to highlighting outstanding examples in the Emirate of Dubai.
