As part of its efforts to enhance charitable work and organize community initiatives during the holy month of Ramadan, the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai announced the activation of its proactive service for the second consecutive year. This service involves issuing permits for distributing Iftar meals before the start of the blessed month. So far, more than 1,400 beneficiaries have benefited from this proactive service, reflecting IACAD’s commitment to facilitating procedures and ensuring the smooth and efficient implementation of charitable initiatives.
Mohammed Musbah Dahai, Acting Executive Director of the Charitable Work Sector, confirmed that this service responds to the needs of organizations distributing Iftar meals, allowing them to obtain the required permits in advance. This contributes to promoting a culture of giving and social responsibility, ensuring the distribution process is organized easily and smoothly, within a framework that reflects the values of solidarity and cohesion characteristic of the UAE community.
This initiative falls under IACAD’s pioneering role in organizing and sustaining charitable work, ensuring its implementation according to the highest safety and organizational standards. It aligns with the vision of the leadership to establish Dubai as a global city for humanity and giving, as well as achieving the social goals of the "Dubai 33" agenda by spreading values of compassion and social solidarity and strengthening the role of individuals and institutions in building a more cohesive and unified society.
