More than 22,000 Beneficiaries from the Islamic Knowledge Programs Centers by the Third Quarter of 2024

The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai has announced the statistics of participants in the courses and programs offered by the Islamic Knowledge Programs Department at its various centers in Dubai, namely the Al Mizhar Cultural Islamic Center, Umm Al sheif Cultural Islamic Center, and Nad Al Sheba Women's Center. The number of participants exceeded 22,000, including both in-person and remote learners from within the UAE and abroad, engaging in Islamic cultural lessons, Quran memorization activities, and community events.

This year, the centers witnessed an unprecedented turnout compared to previous years, reflecting the pivotal role played by IACAD in enhancing the role of women in society and supporting their active participation in community development, in line with Dubai's vision to become a global hub for cultural and Islamic development. The programs contribute to the development of skills for women and girls of all ages, from children to seniors.

In detail, the Al Mizhar Cultural Islamic Center saw over 10,000 participants, while the Umm Al shief Cultural Islamic Center recorded more than 6,000 participants, and the Nad Al Sheba Women's Center registered more than 6,300.

In this regard, Ms. Shaikha Sultan Al Marri, Director of the Islamic Knowledge Programs Department, stated: "The noticeable increase in the number of participants this year reflects the growing community interest in religious and cognitive education, emphasizing IACAD’s commitment to providing all necessary resources and means to attract those interested in Islamic cultural education, whether through in-person or remote programs, to meet the needs of various groups."

Al Marri added that the increase in participants is a reflection of the community's trust in the Islamic Knowledge Programs offered by IACAD, demonstrating the success of efforts to empower women and strengthen their role in building a sustainable future based on knowledge and education.
