The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai concluded the activities of the “Ghiras Alsaif” program for this year, after attracting more than (1,200) participants from female students and young girls in its two phases, reflecting the program’s success in engaging girls and meeting the aspirations of parents.
His Excellency Ahmed Darwish Al Muhairi, Director General of IACAD , affirmed that the great turnout for the program embodies the vision of the leadership in building a generation of girls with strong identity, balanced personalities, and adherence to Islamic and national values. He said: “The results achieved by the program reflect the community’s trust in the educational and knowledge-based initiatives launched by IACAD . Through our dedicated teams, we have worked to study the needs of young girls and develop a renewed content that enhances the participants’ experience year after year. We now look forward to welcoming our daughters in the upcoming (Ghiras Alshita) winter program, which is scheduled to be launched in December with enhanced content that continues this success story.”
The first phase witnessed the participation of (609) students, who were offered (1,263) educational hours that included (783) interactive and educational workshops and (33) classes. The second phase attracted (506) students, with (696) educational hours provided, including (411) interactive and educational workshops and (29) classes, supervised by (35) specialized teachers. Altogether, the program amounted to nearly (2,000) educational hours, more than (1,190) interactive and educational workshops, and (62) classes, under the supervision of (80) teachers.
For her part, Sheikha Sultan Al Marri, Director of the Islamic Knowledge Programs Department, explained that this year’s program focused on innovative interactive activities suitable for different age groups of girls, which contributed to enhancing positive participation, refining skills, and developing capabilities. She said: “Through the great response and enthusiasm shown by the students, we have witnessed the profound educational and knowledge-based impact of the program, which strengthens our commitment to further developing its content in future editions.”
“Ghiras Alsaif” is part of IACAD initiatives aimed at instilling Islamic and human values, developing the skills of female students and young girls, and building a generation of girls who keep pace with the aspirations of the UAE in the Year of Community 2025 and beyond.
