Mohammed bin Rashid Islamic Culture Center activities attract more than 1,400 communities

Mohammed bin Rashid Islamic Culture Center of the of Islamic Affairs and Charitable activities Department in Dubai, represented by the intracultural Civilizational section, succeeded in attracting more than 1440 beneficiaries during the last period, with the aim of spreading awareness and introducing moderate Islamic culture among the communities residing in Dubai.

“The quality of programs during the last period contributed in attracting a large number of communities interested in learning about the moderate Islamic religion. Given the exceptional circumstances nowadays, the center worked on using a set of visual programs in order to adhere to the precautionary measures to contain the spread of the emerging virus.” Ruwiya Al-Ketbi, head of the intracultural Civilizational section said.

Al-Ketbi explained that during the holy month of Ramadan, a set of programs were implemented, such as “Islamic culture etiquette” program. The “Ramadaniyat” program, in which it gave various lectures with different titles and multiple languages. “Our Eid with you” program, the idea of the program is based on the joy of Eid through the Zoom application, by decorating the house and sharing famous dishes that are prepared on Eid with community’s families.

“The “Islamic culture etiquette” program is being worked on by a team who are professional and specialist from different countries such as China, Philippines and India from the intracultural communication section, using the Tagalog, English, and Chinese languages. They are qualified team to teach Islamic culture to Muslims and non-Muslims, targeting a variety of communities, to explain and correct concepts in a simple way.” Al-Ketbi said.

The Mohammed bin Rashid Islamic Culture Center seeks to achieve its strategic vision by spreading the moderate Islam targeting communities of different races and religions.
