The Dubai Awqaf and Minors Affairs Foundation has received a financial contribution of one AED million from The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai, in support of the "Sanad Waqf" initiative organized by the foundation. This initiative aims to address the food needs of families benefiting from the services of the Community Development Authority, which are listed on the "Jood" platform for community contributions.
IACAD has provided funding for the "Sanad" cards issued by the Dubai Awqaf, aimed at supporting deserving groups registered with the Community Development Authority in Dubai. These groups include orphans, widows, senior citizens, people of determination, and low-income individuals. In her remarks, Hessa Bint Issa Bouhamid, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the Dubai Community Contributions Foundation "Jood" and Director General of the Community Development Authority in Dubai, praised the generous donation made by the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai to support the "Sanad" initiative. Bouhamid added, "These initiatives provide crucial support for efforts aimed at improving the quality of life for deserving families and alleviating their daily burdens. They also underscore the importance of the role played by the 'Jood' platform in financing projects that target community well-being and the sustainability of giving."
Ahmed Darwish Al-Muhairi, Director General of the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department, emphasized that IACAD’s contribution to the Sanad Fund and the donation of AED one million stems from their deep commitment to the values of solidarity and community welfare. He noted that this donation is not merely a financial contribution, but a message that embodies their firm belief that the strength of communities is built on the collective efforts to support the most needy.
