The Sheikha Hind bint Maktoum Quran Competition continues, organized by the Dubai International Holy Quran Award under the Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities in Dubai. The second day of the female category qualifiers will witness Quranic contests among twelve participants across various branches of the competition.
The contestants include Manal Ahmed Shabbir Ahmed from India, nominated by the Mohammed bin Obaid Center for Quran Memorization in Dubai, along with Shahad Hamid Al Shamsi from the United Arab Emirates—nominated by the Aya Center for Quran Memorization and Sciences— and Salama Mohammed Al Suwaidi, nominated by Dar Al Ber Society in the ten-juz’ branch (from the end).
A group of Emirati contestants will also participate in the partial memorization branches, including Fatima Jumaa Al Mazrouei, Aisha Ali Mohammed Al Naqbi, Fatima Hassan Al Shamsi, Fatima Khalid Al Hosani, Noura Khalil Maleh Al Dhahani, Asmaa Saif Al Yamahi, Khawla Fahd Al Taheri, and Maryam Hussain Al Ali. Their performances showcased advanced levels of memorization and tajwid, reflecting the comprehensive academic and educational care offered by Quran memorization centers in the UAE.
The Department praised the honorable performance of the contestants on the first day and the significant efforts of the judging committees to ensure fairness and precision, reaffirming Dubai’s role as a radiant Quranic beacon that continues its scholarly and spiritual mission in serving the Holy Quran.
