Islamic Dubai congratulates Maktoom Center for Quran students on their outstanding results in local competitions

The Department of Maktoom Holy Quran Memorization centers, as part of Dubai Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department, announced the results of students, males and females, who were participating in the local competitions in the United Arab Emirates. The competitions are Sheikha Hind bint Maktoom for the Holy Quran in its 20th edition in 2019, the Ras Al Khaimah Award for the Holy Quran in its 19th edition of 2018, and the Sharjah Prize for the Holy Quran and Sunnah at its 22nd edition of 2018.

Ahmad Al-Zahid, Acting Director of Maktoom Holy Quran Memorization Centers said: "The interest and encouragement of the preservation of the Quran is one of the pillars of the centers. The Dubai Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department through its various sectors, provide unlimited support to Maktoom Centers' to achieve the targets in serving the Quran and the students who want to memorize it, regardless of their gender or age, in Dubai. We are going to achieve these goals by motivating students to participate in Quran and Sunnah competitions to consolidate the values of authentic faith.

According to the report issued by the centers' Depatment, the number of participants in the Sheikha Hind bint Maktoom Holy Quran Competition in its 20th 2019, which organized annually by the Dubai International Holy Quran Award, were 6 males and 9 females participated in various branches of the competition. Mohsen Yahya Shaafal, in the Holy Quran branch, took the seventh place. Ahmed Khalid Amer in the branch of 20th part took the fourth place in the category of males. In the category of females of the same competition, the students, Huda Zainab Nassar, ranked ninth, Rahma Abdul Majid Yahya, The tenth place, in the branch of memorizing the entire Holy Quran.

Baraa Mohammed Ezzedine in the branch of 20th part took the third place. The student Maitha Abdul Rahman Al-Ali in 5 parts branch took the third place. In the category of the people of determination (disabled) in Sheikha Hind contest, Alaa Mohammed Sadiq in the branch of memorizing the entire Holy Quran took the sixth place.

In the Ras Al-Khaimah Award for the Holy Quran of 2018, the student who participated in branch of memorizing the entire Holy Quran were Abdullah Ahmed Al-Gharib, who won fifth place. Ahmed Khalid Amer in the branch of 20th part took first place, while Mariam Ismail Hassan took the first place in amma’s part memorization.

In the Sharjah Prize for the Quran and Sunnah for the year 2018, 8 males and 10 females participated. The student Obaidah Mohammed Al Zarooni in the branch of memorizing the entire Holy Quran took the first place, and Mohsen Yahya Shaafl in the branch of 20th part, took the second place.

In the category of the Sunnah of the same award, Sibaii Mohammed al-Bassiouni and Abdullah Yahya Shaafl, took the second place, in the branch of Mayor of the judgments, while brothers Mohsen Yahya Shaafal, Saleh Yahya Shaafal took the third place in the branch of bloogh Maram.

In the category of motor disability, in 5 parts branch, Mohammed Nasser Al Khaja and Wardah Abdullah Mohammed took first place, while Sarah Abdullah Mohammed was second and Afrah Mohammed Al Qaid was third. In the category of intellectual disability of the branch of Amma, Zainab Ali Yassin took fourth place while student Sultan Mohammed Al-Hallian took third place. In the visual disability category of the 5-part branch, students Alaa Mohammed Al-Sadiq took the first place, Muna mal-Allah the second place.

The Department of Maktoom Holy Quran Memorization centers praised the efforts of the participants in the various local competitions and their advanced ranking. The centers expressed its pride in the participation of students of people of determination (disable) who are interested in the competitions, which reflects their dedication and overcoming obstacles and challenges.

Al-Zahid said that the Maktoom Centers Administration nominates the contestants to represent the country in international competitions in coordination with the General Authority of Islamic Affairs and the Dubai International Holy Quran Award.
