Intensive Summer Course at Maktoum Holy Quran Memorization Centers Department

The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department organized the intensive summer course for males and females at the Department of Maktoum Holy Quran Memorization Centers, which began on July 7 and will continue up to August 1, 2024.

The course locations for males were Sheikh Rashid bin Maktoum Al Maktoum Mosque, Al Warqa 1, Sultan Al Ghazal Mosque, Al Warqa 2, Hussain Ali Yateem Mosque, Al Barsha South, Sheikha Sanaa Al Maktoum Mosque at Hatta area.

For the female course, it was held at the building of Department of Maktoum Centers, Al Warqa 1, Mohammed Hassan Al Shaikh Mosque in Al Twar 2, Al Zarooni Grand Mosque at Al Nahda 2, Al Manara Mosque in Umm Suqeim 1, Hussain Ali Yateem Mosque at Al Barsha South, and Sheikha Sanaa Al Maktoum Mosque at Hatta area.

Dr. Abdullah Abdul Jabbar, Acting Director of the Department of Maktoum Holy Quran Memorization Centers, confirmed that the intensive summer course was launched on July 7 and would continue up to August 1, 2024 at Deira, Bur Dubai and Hatta. He added that the summer course targets male and female students aged 6 to 25 years, with the aim of spreading religious awareness and Islamic culture among the youth and teaching them the Holy Quran and its sciences, noting that the course is one of the best ways to invest school vacations throughout the year, and that Maktoum Centers are one of the government agencies at the Emirate level that organizes such intensive courses.

Dr. Abdul Jabbar added that the teaching plan for the course includes an intensive memorization program for Quran kindergartens, reviewing it and memorizing the Scientific Exegesis, in addition to various scientific and recreational activities.

The course is presented by 23 male and 29 female teachers of Quran kindergartens from the Department of Maktoum Holy Quran Memorization Centers, while 235 male and 504 female students benefit from the course.
