IACAD Receives Civil Defense Delegation to Review Best Practices in Human Resources

As part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen institutional cooperation and exchange expertise among government entities, the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai (IACAD) received a delegation from the General Directorate of Civil Defense in Dubai. The visit aimed to review the best practices adopted in the field of human resources, in support of governmental excellence and to enhance inter-agency integration.

As part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen institutional cooperation and exchange expertise among government entities, the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai (IACAD) received a delegation from the General Directorate of Civil Defense in Dubai. The visit aimed to review the best practices adopted in the field of human resources, in support of governmental excellence and to enhance inter-agency integration.

The visiting delegation included Lieutenant Colonel Dr. Omar Abdulqader Ahmed Ali Al Hajri, Director of the Human Resources Department; Captain Yousef Al-Sayed Ahmed Al-Sayed Abdullah Al-Marzouqi, Head of Human Resource Planning; and Captain Hossam Sameeh Saeed Al-Damm, Head of Customer Happiness Section.

During the visit, IACAD presented a comprehensive briefing on its policies and strategic directions for developing national talents and fostering an attractive and motivating work environment, which contributes to improving institutional performance. The discussion covered several key areas within the HR framework, including:

•Promotion criteria for civil staff

•Emiratization and succession planning policies

•Talent acquisition and development strategies

•Initiatives for empowering people of determination

The meeting also explored job succession mechanisms, the update of job descriptions and titles, the rewards and incentives system, as well as the procedures for government performance management, productivity measurement indicators, and future-oriented employment trends.

IACAD emphasized that the visit reflects its commitment to strengthening collaborative channels with governmental partners and activating strategic partnerships that support the journey of government development. This aligns with the UAE leadership’s vision of a flexible work environment rooted in excellence and optimal investment in human capital, considered the cornerstone of sustainable development.
