In a new intellectual achievement in supporting specialized Islamic knowledge, the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai, has published a book titled "The Distinctions of Islamic Financial Jurisprudence Terminology" by researcher Dr. Ibrahim Abdul Latif Al-Azmi Al-Obaidi. The book aims to clarify the subtle differences between key terms in the field of Islamic financial jurisprudence, allowing readers to gain a precise understanding of these concepts and ensuring the correct application of Islamic law in financial dealings.

This book is a valuable addition to the Islamic library, addressing the reader's pressing need for a deeper understanding of the jurisprudential concepts that underpin the Islamic financial industry, especially with the rapid global expansion of this sector. The book adopts a comprehensive and smooth approach, blending theory and practice, delving into classical jurisprudential texts as well as contemporary practical realities, to reveal the depth and authenticity of terms used by the early scholars of this nation, their meticulous attention to defining selected terminology, and clarifying the essential distinctions between closely related terms that are frequently used. These terms range from the old juristic texts on financial transactions to the modern-day practices of Islamic financial institutions.

This new publication reflects IACAD’s commitment to providing valuable resources for researchers, academics, and specialists in Islamic law and Islamic economics. A clear understanding of terminology is not only a scientific necessity but also a key tool to ensure compliance with Islamic law in financial transactions. The book is available on the Department's website.
