As part of its commitment to enhancing community awareness and instilling national values during times of challenge, the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai organized an awareness lecture titled “Our Responsibility Toward Our Nation in Times of Crisis” under the slogan “Together We Rise.” The lecture targeted employees of the Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority and was held virtually, delivered by Sheikh Mohammed Hassan Al Taher, with active participation exceeding 80 attendees.

The lecture aimed to reinforce concepts of national responsibility and promote religious and professional values through several key themes. The most prominent of these included the Islamic foundation for dealing with crises as divine tests that require patience, resilience, and reliance on God, along with the importance of spreading optimism, hope, and reassurance within society. It also highlighted the dangers of rumors and stressed the need to verify information, emphasizing that adhering to official guidelines and standing united behind the wise leadership are essential pillars for strengthening social stability.

The lecture also shed light on the role of employees and institutions during crises, emphasizing that employees are active partners in maintaining stability. Professional commitment and work ethics—such as accuracy in conveying information, maintaining confidentiality, and adopting a positive attitude—were highlighted as integral parts of national responsibility. It also addressed the role of the family and community in strengthening social cohesion, considering them the first line of defense in spreading reassurance, proper guidance, and reinforcing the values of solidarity and compassion.

This lecture comes as part of the Department’s ongoing efforts to support its strategic plans aimed at building a conscious and cohesive society, in line with the vision of the wise leadership to enhance security, stability, and national values through impactful awareness programs targeting various segments of society.

At the conclusion of the lecture, it was emphasized that crises can become opportunities for growth when accompanied by faith, awareness, and unity. Safeguarding the nation was affirmed as a shared responsibility, and trust in God, followed by trust in the wise leadership, was highlighted as the foundation for overcoming challenges and achieving sustainable stability.
