The total number of participating students exceeded 2,840, and 83 complete recitations (khatmas) of the Holy Quran were completed. In addition, more than 1,300 students participated in accompanying programs and activities during the month of Ramadan, reflecting the growing demand for Quranic and awareness programs, and their role in promoting Islamic values and strengthening cultural identity among girls and families in the community.

The initiative included a range of educational and developmental programs, most notably “Elite Memorizers,” “Al-Zahrawan,” “Memorizing Juz’ Amma,” “Memorizing Surah Al-Kahf,” and the “Open Circle,” with the participation of 600 students. These programs contribute to preparing a generation well-versed in the sciences and values of the Holy Quran.

The “Correct Your Recitation” program also witnessed notable participation, with 340 students, during which 18 complete Quran recitations were achieved.

Meanwhile, 129 students participated in the “Quran Recitation in Ramadan” program designated for those who have completed memorization, achieving 65 khatmas, reflecting a high level of commitment and proficiency among participants. The “Al-Fatiha: Recitation and Reflection” program recorded wide participation of 1,680 students, focusing on establishing correct recitation fundamentals and enhancing understanding of the meanings of the surah, thereby strengthening the knowledge base across different age groups.

More than 100 students also participated in the “Family Reads” program as part of the Reading Month activities, which discussed the book “Illustrated Jurisprudence of Worship – The Book of Purification” in a simplified manner aimed at enhancing religious culture among girls aged 8 to 18.

Ms. Mona Mattar Al Falasi, the coordinator of the “Matw’at Al-Fareej” initiative, affirmed that these results reflect the strategic impact of the initiative in supporting the department’s objectives of building an aware society committed to its Islamic values and identity, through the provision of innovative and high-quality educational programs that combine authenticity and modernity. These efforts contribute to empowering girls and enhancing the role of the family in proper upbringing.

She further explained that the initiative supports the direction of Dubai Islamic Affairs in being closer to the community and more impactful by developing a sustainable knowledge system that promotes religious awareness using modern methods, and strengthens integration between educational and community institutions, in line with Dubai’s vision of enhancing quality of life and social cohesion within a comprehensive and sustainable development framework.
