IACAD Organizes a Women’s Seminar Titled “My Family: Goodness and Security in Ramadan” to Strengthen Family Cohesion

As part of its preparations to welcome the holy month of Ramadan, and within the framework of the “Ramadan in Dubai” initiatives, the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department (IACAD) in Dubai organized a women’s seminar titled “My Family: Goodness and Security in Ramadan” at Al Khawaneej Majlis in Dubai, with the participation of a distinguished group of female lecturers and family affairs specialists.

As part of its preparations to welcome the holy month of Ramadan, and within the framework of the “Ramadan in Dubai” initiatives, the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department (IACAD) in Dubai organized a women’s seminar titled “My Family: Goodness and Security in Ramadan” at Al Khawaneej Majlis in Dubai, with the participation of a distinguished group of female lecturers and family affairs specialists.

The seminar aimed to promote the values of family cohesion and to reinforce concepts of stability and reassurance within the Emirati family, in line with the Department’s strategic direction to support the building of strong and cohesive families. This also aligns with the objectives of the Year of the Family and the vision of the UAE’s wise leadership in strengthening social cohesion.

Held on 9 February 2026, the seminar addressed several key themes. It opened with a session by Ms. Mona Tareesh on the importance of family cohesion, followed by Ms. Hessa Abdullah, who highlighted the role of the mother in enhancing family stability. Ms. Khadija Naseeb then discussed the role of sisters in supporting family bonds, and the seminar concluded with a session by Ms. Samira Juma, focusing on the role of the son’s wife in fostering family harmony.

This seminar comes as part of a series of awareness initiatives organized by IACAD to welcome the holy month of Ramadan, reaffirming its community role in spreading family awareness, promoting authentic Islamic values, and preparing the community for the blessed month in a spirit of harmony, compassion, and mutual care.
