The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai has inaugurated the Al-Rashed Center for Quran Memorization in the Al-Tawar area. The opening event was attended by Dr. Omar Mohammed Al-Khateeb, Executive Director of the Islamic Affairs Sector, along with several officials and unit directors from the department. This inauguration is part of IACAD’s ongoing efforts to promote Quran education and disseminate Islamic values within the community. Through supporting such initiatives, IACAD aims to achieve its vision of building a cohesive society based on noble Islamic values and enhancing the role of religious educational institutions in spreading virtue and knowledge.
Dr. Omar Al-Khateeb praised the vital role the center will play in educating the younger generations in memorizing the Quran and learning its sciences. He highlighted the essential contribution of such centers in building generations armed with Quranic knowledge and principles of our noble religion, preparing them to face contemporary challenges with values derived from the Quran.
Dr. Al-Khateeb confirmed that this step aligns with IACAD’s strategy to enhance religious education and raise Islamic awareness in accordance with Dubai's future vision of promoting religious and ethical values. He emphasized the importance of education in building a community grounded in sound ethical and religious values, aiming to deepen the understanding of Islamic teachings among all segments of society, including youth and children. The department plans to develop a variety of educational programs, including courses and workshops, in collaboration with educational institutions.
The center features modern facilities and diverse programs targeting all age groups, from children to seniors, providing students with a unique educational opportunity. Attendees praised the efforts made to equip the center with the latest educational tools, affirming that it will become a pivotal center in supporting Quran education.
