IACAD Opens Al-Raouf Mosque in Wadi Al-Safa – Al-Murabaa

The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai has inaugurated Al-Raouf Mosque in the Wadi Al-Safa – Al-Murabaa area, in the presence of His Excellency Ahmed Darwish Al-Muhairi, Director General of the department, executive directors, and several officials. The opening is part of the efforts to enhance the mosque infrastructure and provide an outstanding environment that meets the needs of worshippers according to the highest standards.

The mosque features a modern architectural style, covering an area of 6,300 square meters, with a capacity to accommodate 1,080 worshippers, including 850 men and 230 women. It also includes a spacious Iwan (arcade) of 205 square meters, two prayer halls with areas of 530 square meters for the main hall and 260 square meters for the secondary hall, in addition to a dedicated prayer area for women covering 150 square meters.

The mosque is equipped with all modern facilities that contribute to the comfort of worshippers, including 70 parking spaces, state-of-the-art ablution facilities with 13 washing stations and 19 footbaths, as well as facilities for people of determination, making it a comprehensive model for modern mosques.

The mosque also features a minaret with a height of 28 meters, and a central dome that adds a unique spiritual touch to the design. It includes residences for the Imam and the Mu'adhin, fully equipped with all the necessary amenities.

The opening of this mosque is part of the leadership’s commitment to enhancing the mosque infrastructure and providing a comprehensive religious environment that meets the community’s needs. This project reflects Dubai's commitment to keeping up with urban development while preserving its Islamic and architectural identity.
