IACAD Launches Women's Course on Al-Shatibiyyah Poem to Deepen Quranic Readings Sciences

IACAD Launches Women's Course on Al-Shatibiyyah Poem to Deepen Quranic Readings Sciences

As part of its efforts to promote Islamic knowledge and enhance the capabilities of female Quran memorizers, the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department (IACAD) in Dubai has announced the launch of a course explaining Al-Shatibiyyah, the renowned poem by Imam Al-Shatibi, for the 2024/2025 academic year. The course is dedicated to women and will be held at the Nad Al Sheba Women’s Center – Nad Al Sheba 1, every Tuesday from 8:00 to 10:00 AM, starting May 6, 2025.

The course will be supervised by Ms. Iman Ali Ghandour, a specialist in Tajweed and Quranic readings. It aims to provide an in-depth explanation of the Shatibiyyah poem covering the seven canonical readings (Qira'at), highlighting its precise rules. This will empower participants in this specialized field and qualify them to transmit this blessed knowledge through an authentic chain (Isnad) back to the early Quranic reciters.

To enroll in the course, applicants must be female Quran memorizers and are required to commit to regular attendance throughout the course duration to ensure full benefit from the program.

This course is part of a series of high-quality programs offered by IACAD through its cultural centers for Quran memorization. It supports the department’s ongoing efforts to empower women in religious and academic fields and to equip society with qualified female experts in Quranic recitation and readings. For registration, please visit IACAD’s official platforms.
