Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department has launched the “Ramadan Khatmah” initiative at Maktoum Centers for the Holy Qur’an and Its Sciences as part of the Riyad Al Qur’an program. The initiative will run throughout the Holy Month of Ramadan, during both morning and evening sessions, and will be delivered remotely through a dedicated registration link.
This blessed faith-based initiative is supervised and implemented by the female teachers of the Maktoum Centers for the Holy Qur’an and Its Sciences. It aims to complete the recitation of the Holy Qur’an during the blessed month in a Ramadan atmosphere that strengthens attachment to the Qur’an and reinforces its central role in the lives of individuals, families, and the wider community.
The “Ramadan Khatmah” targets girls, women, and senior Emirati women, reflecting the Department’s commitment to empowering women through Qur’anic engagement and expanding community participation in faith-based programs. This contributes to building a generation that is aware of its values, proud of its Emirati identity, and guided by the teachings of the Book of Allah.
The initiative embodies one of the Department’s strategic pathways aimed at promoting moderate Islamic culture, enhancing the quality of spiritual life, and utilizing modern technologies to deliver remote religious services in line with community aspirations and to facilitate access to Qur’anic programs. It also underscores the Department’s support for the vision of the UAE’s wise leadership during the Year of the Family, through initiatives that strengthen family cohesion, instill Qur’anic values in Emirati homes, and revive the spirit of the holy month among future generations.
