In line with its community-focused vision and strategic commitment to remaining close to society, the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department (IACAD) in Dubai has announced the launch of a series of educational lessons and awareness lectures for the month of June. This initiative aligns with the wise leadership’s vision for 2025, designated as the "Year of the Community."
The topics of these lessons and lectures are diverse, addressing aspects of daily life as well as faith-based and humanitarian values. They include the virtues of the Day of Arafah and the encouragement of fasting on that day, jurisprudential rulings related to Eid Al-Adha, and the belief in the Last Day. The series will also feature explanations of the Hadith: “I guarantee a house in the outskirts of Paradise...”, the biography of the noble companion Ubayy ibn Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him), and a focus on the Prophet Muhammad’s ﷺ interactions with children.
On the educational front, lectures will address themes such as proper child upbringing and respect for teachers. Social values are also highlighted through discussions on showing compassion to the elderly and the UAE’s efforts in humanitarian work. Additional lectures will cover valuable religious topics such as “Words that Opened the Gates of Heaven,” and the encouragement to recite the Qur’an, inspired by the verse:
{Indeed, he who fears Allah and is patient – then indeed, Allah does not allow to be lost the reward of those who do good} [Yusuf: 90].
Through these initiatives, IACAD reaffirms its commitment to contributing effectively to building a more aware and cohesive society, guided by the values of Islam and responding to the community’s aspirations for increased religious knowledge and positive engagement.
