The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai has announced the launch of a range of proactive services for Islamic institutions and Quran memorization centers, aiming to improve the beneficiaries' experience and streamline the procedures for renewing licenses. IACAD seeks to provide exceptional government services in line with the leadership's vision to make Dubai a global model in governance.
In this context, Ms. Hajer Ali Al-Suwaidi, Head of Customer Relations section stated: "Through these initiatives, we aim to provide proactive services that contribute to enhancing work efficiency and simplifying procedures for Islamic institutions. Providing proactive services is part of our strategy for digital transformation and reflects our commitment to supporting the community and strengthening the role of religious institutions in Dubai."
The services include tracking the renewal requests of Islamic institutions and Quran memorization centers via reminders and notifications sent to beneficiaries to ensure all necessary requirements are met. A "Certificate of No Objection" service has also been launched to exempt from traffic fines and Dubai Electricity and Water Authority fees, facilitating the renewal processes of these institutions.
Additionally, IACAD has provided the option to update the data of institutions and centers in a simplified way, with instant notifications upon the expiration of residency or identification cards for employees. This step aims to enhance the institutions' flexibility in meeting with IACAD requirements and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
