As part of integrated efforts between government entities and strategic partners, the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department (IACAD) has announced the organization of free medical screening stations under its Ramadan initiative “Step for Life,” in collaboration with Prime Healthcare Group and Noor Dubai Foundation. The screenings will take place on 26 February, 5 March, and 12 March at several key locations across Dubai.
The initiative will be held at Quranic Park, Kite Beach, and Nad Al Sheba Park from 4:00 PM until Maghrib Adhan, with the possibility of extending the hours. Services include free eye examinations, blood pressure checks, and blood sugar testing—supporting early detection of chronic diseases and reinforcing the community’s preventive healthcare approach. Mobile medical units further strengthen this effort by delivering awareness messages directly to community members in active public spaces and providing simplified guidance to children and families on healthy lifestyles, transforming medical screening from a seasonal service into a sustainable social practice.
In this context, Mohammed Musabeh Dahi, CEO of the Charitable Work Sector and General Coordinator of the initiative, emphasized that this year’s “Step for Life” is launched with a vision centered on families and children. He noted that building a healthy society begins with strengthening awareness within the family unit itself, adding that the initiative aims to instill a sustainable health culture based on periodic screenings and enhanced individual and collective responsibility toward health.
He further stated that “Step for Life” represents a practical model that integrates the social and health dimensions within a Ramadan framework reflecting the spirit of solidarity. The initiative connects religious values that emphasize safeguarding the body as a trust with modern preventive practices, contributing to improved quality of life and nurturing a generation that understands the importance of caring for its health from an early age—making prevention a lasting community behavior.
The Department invited the public to follow its official channels for updates on screening dates and locations and to benefit from the free services offered to citizens and residents, reaffirming its commitment to being close to the community and actively contributing to its health and stability.
