In a pioneering step reflecting its commitment to keeping up with the challenges of the modern era, The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai has published a new book titled "Jurisdictional Adaptation of Artificial Intelligence Applications in the Economic and Criminal Fields", authored by Dr. Hamda Khalfan Al-Jafla, Senior Researcher. The book serves as a comprehensive reference for addressing technological developments from a deep religious perspective.
The publication highlights contemporary issues arising from advances in artificial intelligence, such as dealing with smart contracts, big data analysis, economic decision automation, and the use of AI in criminal investigations. The book presents innovative Sharia-compliant solutions to the challenges posed by these applications, based on Islamic jurisprudential principles and objectives aimed at achieving justice and protecting rights.
This publication is part of IACAD’s series of works that emphasize Islam’s ability to engage with rapidly changing circumstances while maintaining a balance between the demands of modernity and the constants of the religion. In terms of both reality and application, the United Arab Emirates is one of the pioneering countries in the responsible use of artificial intelligence technology and its applications, with the aim of providing open, global digital content.
