The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai announced its readiness to welcome more than 35,000 worshippers during the Eid al-Fitr prayer for the year 1446 AH - 2025, at the designated prayer grounds across the outskirts of Dubai, in collaboration with the relevant authorities to ensure the prayer is organized according to the highest standards.
Ahmad Kankzar, Director of the External Centers Department of IACAD, confirmed that preparations included equipping the prayer grounds and providing all necessary facilities to ensure the comfort of worshippers and ease of access to the prayer locations. He noted that IACAD has designated three main sites to accommodate worshippers based on the capacity of each location: the Al Quoz prayer ground can hold more than 10,000 worshippers, the Muhaisnah prayer ground can accommodate between 7,000 to 10,000 worshippers, and the Jebel Ali prayer ground can welcome around 15,000 worshippers.
Kankzar urged worshippers to arrive early at the prayer grounds to ensure smooth entry and exit and to avoid congestion. He also emphasized the importance of adhering to organizational guidelines and cooperating with the supervising teams to ensure smooth movement and provide a comfortable spiritual atmosphere for all.
IACAD clarified that the full list of prayer grounds and mosques where Eid prayers will be held is available on the website www.iacad.gov.ae or through the IACAD smart app.
