In the presence of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai inaugurated the mosque named after the late Sheikh Rashid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum in the Dubai Marina area. The opening ceremony was attended by His Excellency Ahmed Darwish Al Muhairi, Director General of the department, along with several other officials from the department.
The opening of the mosque comes in line with the directives of the wise leadership, which is keen to enhance the infrastructure of mosques, contributing to the creation of an exceptional spiritual environment for worshipers and providing comprehensive worship spaces according to the highest standards.
The mosque features an architectural design inspired by Ottoman art, blending luxury and heritage, spanning an area of 5,021.31 square meters, with a capacity to accommodate 1,647 worshipers, including 1,397 men and 250 women.
The mosque is equipped with all the modern facilities to ensure the comfort of worshipers, including a prayer hall, ablution areas, parking spaces, and prayer halls designed according to the highest standards, in addition to areas designated for people of determination, making it a comprehensive model of modern mosques that meet the needs of the community across various groups.
This opening is an important step in the urban development of Dubai, reflecting the great attention given to enhancing the religious infrastructure to match the growing population, as well as providing outstanding services to worshipers and visitors to the emirate.
